Womens day awareness drama March 09, 2023 International Women's Day is celebrated around the world to highlight Women's accomplishments in numerous sectors. This event honors the achievements of female individuals who have excelled in their respective disciplines. Women have undoubtedly contributed greatly to the well-being of society and the country since then. Moreover, Women's Day holds a great deal of significance, and it has become a yearly tradition.  We, the students of sabarigiri college first year B ed presented a awareness drama on the topic women safety and importance for women education.The drama was directed by Mrs.Priyatha Bharathan,played on the honoring ceremony held on sabarigiri school auditorium on 10th March.The programme was arranged to honor women leaders in different field in Anchal locality.Dr.Sabarish jayakumar addressed the function.It was a great experience to be the part of the awareness play.

Furthermore, this commemoration is a show of respect, love, and concern for Women in our lives and in society.In addition, Women's Day is also being observed in schools and universities. This will teach respect and care for Women in the minds of future generations, beginning with their youth. CRITICISM CLASS A criticism class was held by the department of natural science under the guidance of our Head of the Department, Sreedevi miss on 22nd and 23rd of February 2023 in Sabarigiri College of Education. We the nine teacher trainees took classes.  The duration of the class was 45 minutes. The class was followed by the criticism by teacher and the other teacher trainees. The class was taken by using learning aids. My topic was "Types of Ecological Interaction" from the Unit Diversity for Sustenance of class 8. I explained the different types of ecological interactions such as predation, Parasitism, Mutualism, Commensalism and Competition.

Every year, International Mother Language Day is celebrated on 21 February .  Read on to know its history, significance, and theme. Every year on February 21, people around the world celebrate International Mother Language Day to encourage linguistic and cultural diversity as well as multilingualism.       Our college NSS Union has conducted a programme based on the international mother language day to enrich the importance to save mother language. The programmes presidential address was given by our principal Dr. Meera Raj mam. Welcome speech was delivered by farther Thomas kuttiyil. The programme started with a welcome dance by the college dance group. Then there is also a group song by teacher trainees.The union also organised SA writing competition and recitation on the topic international mother language day. The programme was literally a remembrance of International Mother Language Day.

CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAMME In India, the incidence of cancer is increasing rapidly; therefore it is important to step up cancer literacy and knowledge amongst the population. Cancer awareness is the key to early detection and better health-seeking behaviour. Cancer is quite common in both developing as well as developed countries, but awareness is yet poor among the general population. Poor awareness may lead to poor uptake of screening modalities and delay in diagnosis. One factor that has been consistently shown to be associated with late diagnosis and treatment is a delay in seeking help for cancer-like symptoms.  The poor awareness level among the Indian population shows the need for health education and sensitisation regarding cancer and its different aspects. This will be helpful in the successful implementation of health programmes related to cancer. Vani Jairam   (born  Kalaivani ; 30 November 1945 – 4 February 2023), also credited as  Vani Jayaram , was an Indian  playback singer  in  South Indian cinema . Vani's career started in 1971 and has spanned over five decades. She did playback for over one thousand Indian movies recording over 10,000 songs.  Vani died following a fall on 4 February 2023, at the age of 77. In tribute to vaani maam, the Ahava 22.24 FM conducted a tribute on 8th February Wednesday at 2.00 PM at General hall in College. We conducted a group song ,remembrance speech by our teachers and a silent prayer.

REPUBLIC DAY Though India became a free nation on August 15, 1947, it declared itself a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state with the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950. A salute of 21 guns and the unfurling of the Indian National Flag by Dr. Rajendra Prasad heralded the historic birth of the Indian Republic on that day. Thereafter 26th of January was decreed a national holiday and was recognised as the Republic Day of India. The Constitution gave the citizens of India the power to choose their own government and paved the way for democracy. Dr. Rajendra Prasad took oath as the first President of India at the Durbar Hall in Government House and this was followed by the Presidential drive along a five-mile route to the Irwin Stadium, where he unfurled the National Flag. World Leprosy Day (WLD)  It  is celebrated on the last Sunday of January. In 2023, World Leprosy Day is Monday 30 January . This international day is an opportunity to celebrate people who have experienced leprosy, raise awareness of the disease, and call for an end to leprosy-related stigma and discrimination. The theme of World Leprosy Day 2023 is “Act Now. End Leprosy.” This year's theme calls attention to three key messages: Elimination is possible: We have the power and tools to stop transmission and defeat this disease. Act now: We need the resources and commitment to end leprosy. Prioritize leprosy elimination. Reach the unreached: Leprosy is preventable and treatable. National Bird Day National Bird Day is observed on 5 January to raise awareness about birds that are captured or produced in captivity for monetary gain or pleasure. National Bird Day 2023: On January 5, National Bird Day is celebrated to raise awareness of the value of tiny tweets in the ecosystem. Under the guidance our HOD Sreedevi miss we planned our fourth subject association activity on national bird day. The whole program was anchored by Greeshma. Welcome speech was delivered by Neethu. Importance of this day was given by Anjitha and theme by myself. Pinky delivered a speech on Salim Ali and a video presentation was created by Ameena . The poster was  prepared by Shilpa.  Awareness of the risk of bird extinction was given by Navami.  Finally the activity program concluded with vote of thanks by Neethu.

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION 🎉 It was a wonderful day for us.Today we conducted our Christmas program and the programme was named as Feliz Navadad.Our respected chairman Dr.Jayakumar Sir inaugurated the programme by lightening the lamp.Principal maam said presidential address. In the morning session we had spot performances like spot dance,song etc and our team got 2nd prize in it. In the afternoon we had a dance performance,cristmas song and display performed by our students. The programme concluded by 3.45 p.m.
