The Capacity Building Programme for the 2022-2024 batch was conducted on August 2, 2023 on the topic "Effective Teaching Based On Modern Psychological Concepts".  An interactive lecture on the topic was given by Sunil Kumar, former college Principal, Manjappara.  He discussed on how a teacher should teach in a classroom and lighten up the interest of the students. Some of the major points he discussed were Objectives of teaching and Skills of teaching. He conveyed how important it is to understand our strengths, weaknesses, values, and leadership style. He told that we should treat the children the way we expect them to treat us. He said as  leaders we should put in practice what we preach to earn respect. He also mentioned about the multiple intelligence theory, law of effect, law of readiness etc... On 26th July 2023 we the teacher trainees of second semester BEd. Our field trip was to kanyakumari.  The main objectives of the field grip was to study the importance of field trip as an excellent method and supplement to provide first hand experiences and meaningful teaching. We started our trip at sharp 5.25am from college. We began our trip seeking the blessings of God.  Upon reaching Neyattinkara we had our breakfast from irani hotel at 7.30am. After breakfast we commenced our journey to Thirparappu water falls. We reached the spot at 9.30. The place was beautiful and serene. Around 11.45 a.m we reached thakkala Palace. We immersed into the historical stories that the chambers of the palace held.  Our guide explained us the historical importance of the palace and the architecture that outsmarts time.  We left the Palace by 1.00pm and started our journey to kanyakumari. July 12, 2023 Criticism class was held in the department of natural science under the supervision of our HOD Sreedevi miss on 10th,12th and 13th July 2023 in Sabarigiri College of Education. All the nine teacher trainees took the class as insisted by teacher.  The duration of Activity enabled and ICT enables was 45 minutes and of the models was 30 minutes. Following the class, teacher gave each trainees feedback and criticism points.  The class was taken using various learning aids. I took the activity enabled class on the topic "Kidney and it's external structure".  My class was conducted on 12th July.  I explained the external structure of Kidney and gave several activities to the pupils. I presented a still model of the external structure of kidney along with descriptive charts.

At the International Conference on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking held in Vienna on June 26, 1987, it was recommended that a day should be observed to commemorate the struggle against drug abuse. The United Nations General Assembly on December 7, 1987, decided to observe June 26 as International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Significance: The day is recognised to highlight the health challenges related to drug abuse and encourage combating measures like prevention, education, treatment, and rehabilitation.  To commemorate the day, the NSS UNIT of our College conducted a rally from ambalamukku to market junction, Anchal.  Respected chairman inaugurated the function.

As part of National Service Scheme of our College students of Sabarigiri BEd. College donated blood to Punalur Taluk Hospital and the programme was named as  JEEVASPARSHAM.

As a part of our NSS activity we collected books, pens and other study materials and dresses for donating to pupil in a tribal area near channappettah, kollam. We the students of Sabarigiri College went to the village and donated it to students there. Our respected chairman and principal inaugurated the function. Panchayat president and ward member of channappettah attended the programme. We  distributed study materials for around 25 students.

  This year world food safety day was celebrated on 7 th June 2023. The fifth World Food Safety Day  celebrated on 7 June 2023 was to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agricultural production, market access, tourism and sustainable development.  Our college also conducted a programme were all the students and teachers of our college bought home made dishes prepared from organic vegetables.We all gathered ,shared and enjoyed the food together .

       World Environment Day 2023 is a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution matters.  The steps governments and businesses are taking to tackle plastic pollution are the consequence of this action. It is time to accelerate this action and transition to a circular economy. It is time to #BeatPlasticPollution. In our colllege we prepared paper pens and distributed to the children of Sabarigiri HSS. Then we cleaned the way to our college by removing all the plastics we had planted a number of plant saplings and distributed it among number of houses nearby. Natural science department conducted an official programme showing a video presentation about the theme.

Micro-Teaching Session was conducted as a part of two year BEd. Curriculum as a Curriculum activity to practice and enhance our teaching skills as per satisfying the essentials of a Micro-Teaching classroom. It was conducted in 28 th and 29th March 2023. I focused on the skill of Explaining and Skill of blackboard writing and I took 10 minutes  and 9 minutes 13 s respectively. The name of other student teachers their skills are mentioned below. Asaad Sena Inaguration March 29, 2023 Aasad sena inaguration was held on sabarigiri college of education on March 27 2023. The programme began with a welcome speech by Gopika miss. The presidential address was given by Priyatha miss. The inaguration of the programme was done by our chief guest for the day Mr. K Sudevan, Excise Circle Inspector, Punalur and key speak a few words about the importance of asaad sena.The speech was informative and interesting.  Th key note address was given Prathibha miss, NSS Programme Officer. Felicitation was delivered by Sreedevi miss and vote of thanks was delivered by student NSS volunteer Vignesh. A rally was also organized on the same day.
