Capacity Building Programme
An interactive lecture on the topic was given by Sunil Kumar, former college Principal, Manjappara.
He discussed on how a teacher should teach in a classroom and lighten up the interest of the students. Some of the major points he discussed were Objectives of teaching and Skills of teaching.
He conveyed how important it is to understand our strengths, weaknesses, values, and leadership style. He told that we should treat the children the way we expect them to treat us. He said as leaders we should put in practice what we preach to earn respect.
He also mentioned about the multiple intelligence theory, law of effect, law of readiness etc...
He then said decision-making is the most important skill a teacher should posses as it is important in analyzing situations and making informed choices.
Time management: Improve time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and avoid burnout.
He said we should consistently work on all of these aspects and enhance our leadership abilities to make teaching more effective.
Gopika was vested with the duty to deliver the vote of thanks.
The programme came to conclusion at 1.00 p.m.
