School Induction Semester 1

SCHOOL INDUCTION 

As a part of the B.Ed curriculum we the teacher trainees of Sabarigiri B.Ed college had a five day school induction programme. We students were split into teams of two and above and was sent to various schools.
Myself Reshma Raichal Mani and Devika S,my co-teacher trainee selected Sabarigiri HSS for the induction programme.
On the first day, we reached the school by 8.30 and met the principal. We were alloted seats in a room. We collected information about the school and filled the profile.


On the second Day, after marking our attendance we collected information regarding the school and consolidated thecollected data. We took pictures to be attested in the appendix. After lunch we had an observation class of Reshma Das. She taught the chapter Why Classification.We observed how the teacher introduced the lesson and asked questions. She used ICT as the learning aid.
She gave necessary reinforcement as and when necessary. The school dispersed at 3.30 p.m.

On the third day we were given a shared class and an observation class of the subject teacher. It was our first shared class. The topic given to us was " Why Classification". Me and Devika divided the topic among us. During the shared class the first part was taken by Devika, she took the topic binomial nomenclature and taxonomic hierarchy. I took the second part and took the portions five Kingdom and Six kingdom classification. 

The school dispersed at 3.30 p.m.
The fourth day, due to a regional strike there was no class. As per the instructions of our HOD we reached the school at sharp 8.30 a.m. We marked our attendance and returned home.
On the last day of induction we were fully engaged in activities. After marking the attendance, we filled the profile of the school. we attended an observation class of the subject teacher. It was a beautiful experience. We observed how the teacher introduced the lesson and asked questions. She used ICT as the learning aid.

She gave necessary reinforcement as and when necessary. After that class we had to conduct a shared class for ninth stantard. The topic assigned to us was the structure of kidney , Nephron and urine information. After the lunch break we both had substitution classes. The school dispersed at 3.30 p.m.

TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE WEEK 8 WEEK 8 : Monday to Friday  27/11/2023 to 1/12/2023            Reflection on School experience  I reached the school by 9.30 am and then signed the attendance register and were alloted substitution classes. 27/11/2023 The first day, I had a class in 9C during the fourth period  and I took the topic named "Vital Capacity and Tidal Volume" from the unit Breathing for Energy of their biology textbook using activity method.  I was alloted substitution in 7B and 6 D during the third and sixth  period respectively. I made 6D students to  read a Malayalam poem from their Malayalam textbook and 7 B students, a drawing competition.
