Reflection on School Experience
25/9/2023
Today marked the first day of the second week.
The sports day of A.M.M.H.S was conducted today. I reached the college and signed the attendance by 9.15 a.m. Then by 9.40 the teachers came to the staffroom for the prayer.
After the prayer the teachers were instructed to go to the respective classes and take the attendance.
The inaugural function began by 10.15 a.m.
The programme was inaugurated by punalur circle inspector Shri. Suresh Kumar. He cherished his fond memories about his school days and him attending sports days and events at different places. He said "discipline shows unity". He said real sportsmanship is required to reach heights. "Through hardwork and positive mindset we can attain success" - he added.
Soon after the inauguration, the march past began. It was vibrant. The students marched extolling "left, right, left".
After the march past, students from kids category, sub-juniour, junior and senior was asked to line up separately and collect chest numbers.
The chest numbers was distributed. Post distribution the track events for kids category began following which events for sub-juniour, junior and senior categories were held.
By 2.00 p.m most of the events were held.
The day came to it's conclusion by 3.30 p.m.

It was the second day of sports day. The finals of many events took place today. Students were seen enthusiastic and happy throughout the day. Though the climate was not ideal student participation was nothing less.
Following the staff prayer and school prayer attendence was taken.
By 10.00 a.m, the second phase of sports event began. By 11.00 a.m students were given refreshments. All the participants had the spirit of real sportsmanship.
By 1.00 p.m, the mid-day meal was served.
And by 2.00 p.m, the event recommenced.
After the events got finished, by around 3.30 p.m, the school was dispersed.

Today after the prayer, I was alloted substitution duty in class 8D during the second period. I took the class on topic "Crisis in agriculture sector". I used cards showing newspaper report on farmer suicides, description charts with hints. The students were attendive.
The next substitution was during the fifth period in class 6D. I made them do some puzzles and math problems too. Unlike many other classes the students were too interested in solving the problems which i rewarded with a star in the book.
It was a beautiful experience.
During the last hour I got another substitution in class 6A. The students were taken for physical training. I asked them to do few exercises. After that they played football. In the following period I got substitution in the class 8B. I grouped them into two teams and asked them few riddles. The A team won. By 3.30 p.m, the school got dispersed.

The class began at sharp 9.45 a.m. After the prayer, first period I got substitution in 8B. I conducted a GK quiz. I divided the class into two teams. The students were active and enthusiastic. The class ended by 10.30 a.m.
And in the following period I got a substitution hour in 8D. I took class on "Importance of fertile soil in ensuring food security".I gave activities using description charts, cards, charts with discussion hints etc.
After that I was given substitution in 5 B and 6B in th seventh period. I conducted basic GK quiz for them.
The students were seen interested in the class and was curious.
After the last period by 3.30 p.m the school got dispersed after singing national anthem.
30/09/2023
The Saturday time table was that of Thursday inorder to compensate for the public holiday.
A few than expected was absent and so language classes was held for most of the classes.
I was given substitution in 6A and 8B consecutively. They were given activities to be done by their respective teachers.
At 1p.m the mid day meal was served.
At 2.00 p.m the classes recommenced.
By 3.30 pm the school got dispersed.
Co-curricular and Curricular Activities
The students of class 8 was taught two topics this week. They are "Crisis in Agriculture sector" and "Importance of fertile soil in ensuring food security".
Overall Classroom Experience
The students of 8th was taught two topics this week. Two teaching manuals of 8th standard was completed effectively. 8 charts were prepared for 8th standard. Follow up activities included report writing and assignment.
Extra Curricular Activities
The sports day was conducted for two days. The categories were: Kids, Sub Junior, Junior and Senior categories. Both track events and field events were held for all the categories in the school ground. Refreshments were provided to the students during regular intervals
