Reflection on School Experience
2/10/2023
There was no class as it was a public holiday.
3/10/2023
I reached the college by 9.30 a.m. After signing the attendance, I was alloted substitution periods in class 5B, 9C, 6A, 8B and 6D during the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th period respectively.
I conducted several activities in 5B, 6A and 8B.
It was fascinating to see a good number of participation from the students. The topic given for the essay writing competition was favourite place or favourite author. A student named Navamy. H bagged the first prize. She wrote about the Malayalam author Shri.Vaikom Muhammed Basheer. Her language seemed spontaneous and flowy.
Apart from the substitution I had class in 9C. I taught them the topic "Structure and peculiarities of Alveoli". I used the learning aids like labelled diagram, description charts and ICT videos to teach the topic.
The day came to it's conclusion by 3.30 p.m after the national anthem. After signing the attendance we left the school.

I reached the college by 9.15 a.m and signed the attendance. After that the deputy HM handed us the substitution list
We divided the substitution classes among us. Each of us got five substitution periods.
During the first period I was instructed to go to
5B. I took the attendance and conducted essay and drawing competitions.
In the following hour I got class in 9C . I took class on topic "Functions of Alveoli in the respiratory process".
In the fourth I got class in 7D. I conducted essay competitions for them too. Best among the essays were given reward.
In the last period I got substitution in 7A. I asked them to draw anything of their own interest. One student drew the Marshmallow.
I was fascinated seeing the interest and efforts.
By 3.30 p.m, after the national anthem the school was dispersed.

I reached the college by 9.15 a.m. After the morning prayer I got the list of substitution hours.
I got a substitution hour in 9 C. I taught them the topic "Peculiarities of RBC and structure of Haemoglobin". I used the learning aids such as cut outs, description charts etc..I also got substitution hour in 8 D I taught them the topic
"Importance of microbial fertilizers". In the following period I had regular class in 8D based on the time table given. I took the topic "Consequences of Unscientific Application of Fertilizers". After the seventh period there was a short break during which I quickly checked their notebooks. By 3.30 p.m the school got dispersed.
6/10/2023
I reached the school by 9.30 a.m. I signed the attendance register after which I attended the staff prayer. Now after that, I reached the room alloted for us where I kept all my belongings.
Following the prayer, the substitution was given to us.
I got substitution hours in 8D for the fourth and sixth period.The topic taken for 8 D was "Modern techniques to pest control" and in the
sixth period I got substitution in 8D. I conducted a question and answer session on the previously taught topic.
Finally after the 8th period, the school dispersed after national anthem.
Co-curricular and Curricular Activities
Essay and drawing competitions were conducted during substitution hours.
Six teaching manuals were completed in total. The teaching manuals were mostly activity oriented and ICT based.
Overall Classroom Experience
The students of 8th was taught four topics this week. Four teaching manuals of 8th standard was completed effectively.
The students of 9th was taught three topics. Three teaching manuals of 9th standard was completed effectively.
A total of 7 teaching manuals was finished this week.

Extra Curricular Activities
The activities that took place this week included a class on 'Geriatrics'.
Another activity was a movie display for the students. The movie selected was the Charlie Chaplin movies.
