Reflection on School Experience

13/11/2023

I reached the college by 9.15 a.m. i signed the attendance register and reached the staffroom for prayer. The prayer began by 9.40. After that we were alloted substitution classes. I got substitution in 7C and 5B for the sixth and seventh period respectively. I conducted few activities for them.

In the 4th period I had class in 9 C . I took the topic process of expulsion of CO2.

By 1.00 p.m lunch break began. I went for the substitution classes in the afternoon session.

By 3.30 p.m the classes concluded with the national anthem.

After the prayer I was alloted substitution. I got substitution in 8B during the fourth period.

I conducted a quiz competition and a student sang a song. I was happy to see her confidence and interest in singing.

In the fifth period I reached 9C for class and took a class on the topic Role of respiratory system in the maintenance.

The lunch break as usual was at 1.00 p.m. After the lunch break I got a substitution in 5A. The students were very silent and was studying on their own.

By 3.30 p.m the classes ended.

15/11/2023

After signing the attendance register all of us gathered in the ground for morning assembly. The assembly was conducted by class 7B. There was a small Celebration commemorating the children's day as we couldn't conduct the children's day on the previous day.

The inaugral address was given by Principal followed by children's day message by a student representative. After that prices and certificates was distributed for students who bagged A grade in Subdistrict School Arts Festival.

The morning assembly concluded by around 10.45 am. The classes began with the second period. I got substitions in 7C and 5B.

I made them do few physical activities.

I had no classes in the afternoon session and dedicated my time in writing my written works.

The school dispersed by 3.30 p.m.

I got substitution in 5 A and 7 B and 8D during the third, fourth and fifth period respectively. During the first two substitution classes I introduced the students a book and told them stories.

During the third and fourth hour, a class on Menstrual Health and Hygiene was being held for girl students in LP and high school.

* Diagnostic test

During the fifth period I conducted diagnostic test for the students of 8D. The unit taken for the diagnostic test was "Let's Regain Our Fields".A total of 15 students was present and attended the test.

During the seventh period I had class in 8D. I took class on the topic " Scientific Method of Agriculture".

By 3.30 p.m the school got dispersed after the national anthem.

17/11/2023

I got substitution in 5 B and 6A during the second and third period respectively. I introduced a new book and told a story respectively in the classes.

During this time a class on Menstrual Health and Hygiene was going on in the auditorium for girl students in LP and high school.

During the fourth period I had class in 8D. I took class on the topic "Advantages of group agricultural activities".

* Diagnostic Test Individual Remedial Teaching

In the 8th period I conducted the individual remedial teaching for a student from the class.

By 3.30 p.m the school got dispersed after the national anthem.

Curricular and Co-Curricular activities

I conducted drawing competition and quiz competition during substitution hour this week in several classes.

Teaching aids were used appropriately based on the topic individual and group activities were held successfully. Follow up works like assignments given.The reflective journal was also done this week.

Diagnostic test

I conducted diagnostic test for the students of 8D. The unit taken for the diagnostic test was "Let's Regain Our Fields".A total of 15 students was present and attended the test.

Extra-Curricular activities

Menstrual Health and Hygiene

A class on Menstrual Health and Hygiene was conducted for girls from both Upper primary and High school section.

The topic included safe use of sanitary napkins and it's proper disposal. And also talked about the importance of using sanitary napkins instead of normal cloth during the menstrual days.

Children's Day Celebration

Children's day celebration was yet another activity this week. Prices and certificates for the students who bagged A grade in different competition items of Subdistrict Arts festival was also given away during the celebration.

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

Gave teaching manual based activity oriented class room experience for both the 9th and 8th Std. students.

A total of four topics was taken this week.

They are:

Class 8

"Scientific Method of Agriculture Practices"

"Advantages of group agricultural activities"

Diagnostic test was conducted on Thursday for 8D students.

Following the diagnostic test, based on the result remedial teaching was done. I conducted the individual remedial teaching in the last period of Friday and group remedial and whole class remedial is yet to be conducted.
