Teaching Practice phase 2 -Week 3

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2

Week 3- 24/6/2024- 28/06/2024

24/06/2024

Today was a productive and engaging day at school. I arrived at 9:00 a.m., ready to tackle the day ahead. The morning started with the staff prayer at 9:40 a.m., a moment that always helps me center myself and connect with my colleagues. After the prayer, I dedicated time to writing the daily reflection, which allowed me to thoughtfully consider my goals and the tasks at hand. This reflection time is invaluable for setting a focused and positive tone for the day.

Our discussion following the reflection was fruitful, as we outlined the various tasks and projects we needed to address. This collaborative effort ensured that everyone was on the same page and ready to support each other.

Lunch at 1:00 p.m. provided a much-needed break and a chance to recharge. Post-lunch, my schedule was lighter since I only had a substitution in the 8th period with class 8D. I used this opportunity to deliver an ICT lesson on plant cells, covering their parts and functions. The students were attentive and engaged, which made the session enjoyable and effective.

Overall, the day was a blend of reflection, collaboration, and teaching, reinforcing the importance of preparation and teamwork in our daily routines.

Reflecting on today’s events, the day began with the usual routine of reaching school at 9:00 a.m. and signing the attendance register. The morning prayer, as always, provided a moment of calm and focus before the day's activities began.

The highlight of the day was the assembly for the inauguration of the new volleyball court. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as everyone gathered for the ceremony. K.G. George Sir delivered an inspiring inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of sports and physical activities in the holistic development of students. His words resonated with many, highlighting how facilities like the new volleyball court can foster teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

Due to an educational strike, there were no regular classes scheduled for today. .
We were informed that we could leave school by 1:00 p.m. We left the school after signing the attendance.  It was a shorter day than usual. Despite the disruption, the day was marked by a sense of progress and unity.
