SCA RESHMA

 On 21st July 2024, all of us the B.Ed trainees reached our college after finishing our 30-day phase 2 teaching practice.  There was a small reflection session organised in the general hall for all of us. The programme began at 10.00 a.m.All students from all the 11 schools had to share their experiences.  Most of us recounted positive experiences, despite some mentioning the stresses and challenges they faced. I enjoyed my time and noted that students greatly benefited from smart classes. They were open to conversations and demonstrated a remarkable grasp of knowledge. However, I also observed that some students were distracted by non-curricular activities, impacting their focus on academics. I successfully conducted the achievement and diagnostic tests as scheduled and completed all 30 lesson plans. I also showcased my innovative project, a newspaper, and finished my work by last week. A weekend meeting was conducted by our HOD Ms. sreedevi on Sunday 8 p.m. All of us shared our experiences. I shared my classroom as well as school experiences.  The topics taught this week included Ocean Pollution, Economic Importance of Plants, Mangrove Forests. Activities included yoga class on Vrukshasana and physical education class on "Posture". The school radio inauguration took place in the school this week.  An achievement test on "Life Processes" was conducted on thursday this week. A PTA meeting was conducted on Friday.  It was our last week at school and was a wholesome experience. After experience sharing, teacher gave a brief on the works to be completed by next week.  The meeting concluded by 8.30 p.m.

Teaching Practice - Week 6 15/07/2024 - 19/07/2024 15/07/2024 I arrived at the school by 9 a.m. and signed the register. At 9:40 a.m., I participated in the staff prayer in the staff room. After the prayer, substitution duties were assigned. I was assigned to my designated class, 9C, during the third period. I taught the topic " Measures to Prevent Ocean Pollution " using the think-pair-share technique along with ICT for the lesson plan. After the third period, I returned to the allotted room and began writing my reflection on the classroom experience for the day. Later, I received another substitution in class 7B, where I conducted a quiz. The lunch break was at 1 p.m., followed by the fifth period. Finally, at 3:30 p.m., the school dispersed after the national anthem. I signed the attendance and left the school by 3:45 p.m. 16/07/2024 Public holiday due to Muharam. 17/07/2024 I reached the school by 9 a.m. and signed the register.
