Reflection on School Experience
Day 6

There was no class as it was a public holiday.
Day 7
18/06/2024
On the first day of week 2 we reached the school by 9 a.m. Thereafter we signed the attendance register. We joined the teachers for the prayer. Following prayer we were given the list of substitution classes for the day.
During the third period I had substitution class in 7C. I conducted a gk quiz for the students. The we all went for the lunch break.
In the afternoon during the fifth period I had class in 9C . The topic taught was "Transfer of Substances from external environment into Cytoplasm" from Unit 1: To life processes. I used the ICT based lesson plan for the class. The learning aids used included ICT slides and videos.
Then by 2.30 p.m, a few of us went to the library to arrange the room for a book exhibition.
By 3.00 p.m I reached 8D for class. The topic taught was " Role of Scientists in the history of cell biology". The lesson plan was ICT based. The learning aids included slide showing pictures of scientists and their contributions and slide showing an unfilled table.
Day 8
19/06/2024
On the second day, I reached the school by 9.00 a.m and signed the attendance in the principal's room. I kept all my belongings at the room allocated and activity aids in the room alloted for us. I came to the staffroom for the prayer session.
After the prayer session the students were asked to assemble on the ground for assembly for celebrating National Reading Day.
Principal gave the inaugral address. Several students shared book reviews and thought for the day. After the assembly, the students of 9th standard was directed to assemble in the seminar hall. Nursing students from a nearby college conducted an awareness campaign against substance abuse.
The programme concluded by 1 p.m. A few of us had duties in the seminar hall.
By 1.00 p.m lunch break began. During the 5th period I had observation of physical education class. The topic taken was "Posture". The class was conducted for students of 8 C. Aravind sir, our physical education sir observed the class and gave valuable feedback. In the next 2 hours I finished my work.
By around 3.30 p.m the class for the day concluded. By 3.45 p.m, after signing the attendence register we left the school.
Suggestions made by the teacher educator.
- Used blackboard and learning aids well.
- suggested to control the pace of talking.

Day 9
20/06/2024
I reached college by 9.00 a.m. I reached the staffroom for prayer by 9.30. The prayer ended by 9.40 p.m. I had no substitutions but I had four periods of concerned class.
During the third period I reached 8D. I took the topic "Cell Theory". I used description charts to teach the topic.
After the lunch break I had class in 9C.
I taught them the topic "Internal environment and maintenance of homeostasis".
The learning aids used was ICT slides showing pictures and description.
Thereafter during 6th and 7th period I had class in 8D. During the 6th period I took the topic "Functions of Cell". The learning aids used included slides showing description and unfilled flow chart. During the 7th period I conducted a small test paper for them and also corrected their notebooks.
The classes ended by 3.30 p.m. After the national anthem, the school got dispersed. After signing the attendance I left the school by 3.45 p.m.

Cocurricular and Curricular Activities.
The students introduced to the topic through real life examples and ICT based lesson plans.
I used the ICT lesson plan for all the classes except for cell theory.
For teaching I used videos, slides showing pictures, unfilled table, flow charts and charts for activity lesson plan. Both individual and group activity was given.
Five lesson plans were completed.
