SCA RESHMA

Ahava 22.24 FM, first of it's kind initiative in Sabarigiri College of Education took place on 25 November 2022. The FM was launched with the wholehearted support of all students and teachers. A committee of 10 members was formed for the management of FM.  The inauguration took place in the presence of principal Dr.Meeraraj ma'am and teachers. The programme began in the afternoon around 1.30  p.m with lighting of the lamp and was followed by cultural events. The kollam district School Kalotsavam was conducted in the month of November. Inorder to provide volunteer support, we the teacher trainees of Sabarigiri College of Education was alloted duties at the Sabarigiri School (Stage 2) which was one of the venue for several cultural events. We were divided into several groups and had to deliver the duties on alternate days. It was a beautiful experience to see several events being performed by the students from across the district.  It was those day when we realised the amount of effort and work that goes into conducting such a programme. Teachers and teacher trainees cooperated very well to provide to support the students and teachers in the best way possible. It was a pure learning experience.

SCHOOL INDUCTION  As a part of the B.Ed curriculum we the teacher trainees of Sabarigiri B.Ed college had a five day school induction programme. We students were split into teams of two and above and was sent to various schools. Myself Reshma Raichal Mani and Devika S,my co-teacher trainee selected Sabarigiri HSS for the induction programme. On the first day, we reached the school by 8.30 and met the principal. We were alloted seats in a room. We collected information about the school and filled the profile. On the second Day, after marking our attendance we collected information regarding the school and consolidated thecollected data. We took pictures to be attested in the appendix. After lunch we had an observation class of Reshma Das . She taught the chapter Why Classification.We  observed how the teacher introduced the lesson and asked questions. She used ICT as the learning aid. She gave necessary reinforcement as and when necessary. The school dispersed at 3.30 p.m. ...

As a part of Subject Association Activity 3, National Cancer Awareness Day was observed on November 7, 2022. The importance of the day is to create awareness to diagnose, treat and detect cancer.  The programme was conducted by the First year natural science students under the guidance of Sreedevi ma'am.  The programme was anchored by Shilpa.  Welcome speech was given by Pinky and introduction by Navami. Importance of the day was given by Ameena and theme was presented by Anjitha. A brief on the different types of cancer and its treatment was given by Neethu. Diagonisis and cancers preventive measures was presented by myself.After the video presentation was displayed by Devika and the poster was presented by myself.  The activity was concluded with vote of thanks by Anjitha.
